HI Everyone,
Hope things are going well. I have item that I would like to request
board approval to purchase. One of our student's Ed Balaoro has been
doing a great deal of work for the program over the last year and is
working on even more projects for me. He designed last year's marching
band tee-shirt, he is currently working with several other students on
designing logos for our program to be used on tee-shirts and other
products (this came out of our fundraising meeting). Ed is also
responsible for the poster art work for the spring jazz concert and
will be working with Steve Bischoff on doing the art work for the cd
from that event. Ed is currently also working on re-vamping our entire
program hand book with me.

I am requesting that we purchase for $40 Adobe20Illustrator for him to
use. This would be a pa
rtial thank-you for the work he continues to do
for the organization and will allow him to do the work from home, as he
does not have access to the software during the summer months and it is
sometimes difficult for him to gain access to the computers at school.
He has a computer that he can put the software on at home. Steve
Bischoff can acquire the software for us at the discounted amount
listed above.

I am asking for the board to approve the purchase of Adobe Illustrator
for Ed Balaoro to use for $40.

FYI I am not asking for this to be purchased for a school computer for
a few reasons. The biggest one being is that we do not have any
computers in my classroom for student use. The one that I use is my own
personal computer.
